The Hierarchy Of Freemasonry – Masonic Temple

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Freemasonry teachings and practices of the secret fraternal order officially known as the Free and Accepted Masons, or Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Many people have heard of or are familiar with the order of Mason. Their formal name is the Free and Accepted Mason or Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Although the names differ slightly the concept on which they are based remains rigid as it has for numerous years.

The oldest Lodge in existence is the Grand Lodge of England. They have their own set of bylaws instituted as far back as 1723. These laws are based on loyalty to the Government, and acceptance of various religious beliefs. Although this sounds basic of what most types of organizations or club would stand on, it goes beyond that. To begin with, they are the most secretive organization in the world. This high standard of secrecy as led some countries to ban the formation of the Freemasonry, or opening of a lodge.

Interestingly enough there is not one main leader. Each Grand Lodge has its only Grand Master. One would think without one person being in control that each Lodge would be a stand-alone unit forming their own concepts and way of doing things. On the contrary, these Lodges are very much like a franchise. Where each and every one has a code of rules and ethics to follow and apparently they do.

Although highly secretive about details regarding their organization they are known to conduct ritual, which includes the symbolic tools of the historic masons who built many of the old buildings such as castles and cathedrals dating as far back and the 1700.s. Part of these rituals, include the historical concepts of the building of King Solomon?s Temple.

All Mason members must believe in a supreme being. The Lodges have their own religious book albeit no reference to it being the Holy Bible, as we know it. It would seem the holy book they refer to is based on the religious beliefs of that particular Lodge?s members. This raises an interesting question. Does this mean that one Lodge may be comprised of all Catholics, while another is composed of the Jewish religion?

As we have mentioned that, this fraternity is a very organized body. There are degrees within the Freemasonry. To begin with, the lower level or basic unit is called the Blue lodge. This is found within the Masonic Temple. There are three degrees based on the mason?s level of training literally. They are the blue degrees and are as follows?

Level 1: First Degree -Entered apprentice

Level 2: Second Degree-Fellow Craft

Level three: Third Degree – Master Mason

You can see how these marry up with the three levels of the historic Masons being the apprentice, journeyman and the master. It?s very seldom that a regular Mason would advance beyond a Master Mason. That doesn?t mean he still cannot advance however.

The Master Mason if he so chooses to do so can participate in over 100 rites all-different in nature that can lead to in excess of a 1,000 higher degrees. Now the various rites can get somewhat complex as they differ according to Country. The following is a condensed summary of some of the more prominent orders.

Scottish Rite: 30 higher degrees are available to The Master. Starting at the fourth degree, which is Secret Master up to the Sovereign Grand Inspector General, which is the 33rd degree.

York Rite: 10 higher degrees available. Starting at Mark Master up to Knight?s Templar. This would be equal to the Sovereign Grand Inspector Master.

Prince Hall Grand Lodge The majority of members in this group are the African-Americans.

Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm. Known to be the fun group of the fraternity for the Blue Lodge Mason.

Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine They were formed in 1872 to be a social order. They main purpose is to support the children?s Hospitals.

Order of the The Eastern Star Membership only open to Master Masons and their respective female relatives.

De Molay For boys only

Jobs Daughter or Rainbow Both for girls only

Over the years many Historic figures have been linked to the order of Masons such as Benjamin Franklin – Philadelphia order John Hancock & Paul revere – St Andrew?s Lodge Noston George Washington.

In all there have been about 13 Presidents publicly known to have been Masons, as well as numerous members of congress. The Mason Lodges are not welcome in all countries though or approved by all religions. The Roman Catholics are against their followers becoming members. The Lodges that were once found in Italy, Austria and German were considered to be offshoots of fascism and Nazism and were eradicated. No Lodges are in to be found in China.

Just Who Are The Freemasons? – Masonic Grand Lodge

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

There are many thoughts when it comes to determining just what the Freemasons is all about and even on how to become one. They are well known for their secrecy and this in a sense makes some individuals very uncomfortable. Some say you can only become a member by being invited while others stipulate that you must have a family member that is a Freemason before you yourself can become one.

It is the policy of the Freemasons not to recruit therefore they will never ask anyone to joint their organization. An interested party must approach them. Becoming a Mason is not an unrecognizable goal but there is certain criteria that you must meet before you will even be considered.

It is an absolute must that you believe in God, whereas many masons will not refer to him as God but will use the term you must believe in a Supreme Being. In the majority of countries, the age requirement is twenty-one but if one happens to be the son of Freemason then the age requirement is reduced to eighteen.

Another criterion is that you must be a person of good standing. You will be tested in this area when you go before the Freemasons examining board. They will ask you about your history and about your life in general. Their decisions will be based on your answers. The concept of the Freemasons according to their charter is to make good men better. There are no women allowed in this organization. Once passed your board examination your request to join will be put to a vote. Each member of that particular chapter is given the chance to vote regarding your membership.

If it turns out that, you are not voted in then that doesn?t mean that you can?t apply again but there is a waiting period. If on the other hand you are accepted then you are in for an experience. You will find that they have rituals that are full of metaphors and allegory. This is there way of teaching their lessons.

It?s not suggested that you try to join the Freemasons just out of curiosity. If these are your reasons most likely, they will be detected at the board examination and you will fail anyway. Try to find out as much as possible about them before applying. Perhaps you know of a Mason that will point you in the right direction.

One interesting point you are going to discover when you start your research is that there is much conflicting information. It has been said that is because the Freemasons are such a secretive society that nobody is allowed to talk about the inner workings of it. If this is the case then how can one really discern what they are all about and make an informed decision as to whether to apply for membership.

In addition, it would seem that there are different orders of Freemasons. If you have one in particular that you want to join then perhaps you need to find out if they are in fact a full Freemason organization or just an offshoot.

Furthermore, business related blogs can benefit from the search engine optimization advantage, which is the biggest advantage of blogging.

If a business has a web site that promotes its products or services, any type of content that the business uses as a vehicle to drive commerce to the next level can be put in a blog. Blogs are very useful because they are text-based and light weight, with regards to the code used, compared to traditional web site content. This only means that blogs minimize the crawl time of search engine spiders and allows them to send more information about the web page’s contents to the search directories a lot faster.

Moreover, blogs are dynamic because they can be up-dated frequently and easily. Frequently posting articles to the blog, ensures that the search engine spiders will crawl them more often. The result is that the blog can have more pages scanned and sent to the search engines compared to the business’ opponents, which is extremely good news indeed, especially if the competitors have only the traditional, and therefore, more static web sites. This also provides the business that blogs with a chance to contact more potential customers, thereby possibly increasing their revenue.

Blogging for Personal Objectives: Normally, personal blogs have the characteristic of being exciting, interesting and fun. Bloggers blogging for personal reasons want to keep their friends and family up-to-date about their lives and activities. Many bloggers take great pleasure in blogging personal content. It goes without saying that if you create a personal blog, you must be open to the idea of sharing your interests, likes and dislikes with people who might visit your blog.

Just like any other blog, personal blogs can carry photos, videos and other multimedia elements. You can create a personal blog about anything you feel interested in. There are even personal blogs with content about products that the blogger likes or recommends or even hates – a kind of personal ‘Which?’ guide. These products or services can then be marketed through an affiliate link to the product from a merchant.

So, you can see that blogs are very simple-to-use ‘content management systems’, which allow you to publish articles immediately. These platforms for communication offer new chances to connect with others worldwide on either a personal or a professional level.

Natural Methods Of Bowel Detoxification

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Many people are now finding themselves interested in bowel detoxification. This is because there is great benefit that comes from cleaning the bowels of toxins that builds up over time. When the toxins are left in the bowels for an extended period of time, it could lead to some health problems. After a bowel detoxification many people have stated that they feel much cleaner and that they even feel healthier.

Even though there are great benefits that come from a bowel detoxification, it is important to know that it is not something that you would do on a regular basis. Once every six months is enough and some people will even wait a year just to be on the safe side. By over doing it you could cause your body more harm that good which is the last thing that you would want.

As you are already probably aware, there are all kinds of products on the market for bowel detoxification. But since you are trying to get toxins out of your body, it is probably better to go with natural methods that do not involve putting more toxins in. With a natural bowel detoxification you will not be at as high of risk for side effects.

There is a colon cleansing diet that must be followed and it is usually followed up with an herbal colon cleansing supplement. These supplements are known to kill off worms and parasites that could be within the digestive tract. Believe it or not, the average American has about eight meals worth of food that is undigested along with waste material.

This just sits in the colon, waiting to be cleansed. Because of such a large amount of undigested food and waste material being released, many people have reported dropping anywhere from one to ten pounds. This of course is not to be used as a diet plan. Abusing a colon cleanse can harm you to the extent that you cannot be properly healed.

Now that you are ready to get started you will need to plan for when you are going to do the colon cleanse. You will typically find yourself out of commission for two or three days so it is best that you stick around the house.

The down side to the cleanse is that you will be spending a lot of time in the bathroom. You may feel ill during the beginning of that time but by the end you will feel extremely refreshed and as though you are brand new.

Even though there is a little inconvenience that comes from going through a natural colon detoxification, it is much better than leaving all of that undigested food and waste in your body. If you are an adult with serious medical conditions make sure that you are first speaking with your doctor. Colon cleansing is not suitable for children.

Home Remedies and Natural Treatments for Constipation

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Natural treatments for constipation present a safe, effective and healthy alternative to the over the counter and prescription medications made to treat this common problem. These home remedies are easy to use and are part of an overall holistic health regimen, since they support digestive health naturally. Constipation isn’t normally a serious problem, though if left untreated it can lead to fecal impaction, systemic toxicity, hemorrhoids and other health problems; so it’s a problem which is definitely best avoided.

The best of these natural treatments are easy to use and prevent recurrence of the problem by supporting better digestive function and good health in general. While constipation is usually a minor problem, it can lead to some serious health issues if it is allowed to proceed untreated.

When those suffering from constipation do manage to move their bowels, it’s most often an uncomfortable, even painful experience. The stool will be dry, hard and generally come out in many smaller pieces rather than all at once as it does in an ideal state of digestive health. The bowel may not be completely emptied, which produces more discomfort for the sufferer. The most common causes of constipation by far are unhealthy diets and lifestyles, though hypothyroidism, some prescription and street drugs, irritable bowel syndrome, abuse of laxatives, pregnancy, trying to hold back from moving the bowel and the natural aging process may also be at fault.

In fact, constipation is technically the condition of having three or less bowel movements in the space of a week. Most people who are constipated are able to have a bowel movement eventually, though this is generally accompanied by no small amount of discomfort and pain, since the stool is most often extremely hard and dry.

Constipation sufferers also go through additional discomfort since they commonly only empty the bowel partially – a result of the stool being broken up into many pieces. While constipation is usually caused by lifestyle factors, especially diet, it may also be due to pregnancy, irritable bowel syndrome, hypothyroidism, the overuse of laxatives, illegal and prescription drugs and by conscious attempts to delay bowel movements. There are a number of over the counter and prescription remedies for constipation, though many of these cause side effect and treat only the symptom, doing nothing to prevent a recurrence. Natural treatments for constipation take a different approach, working to correct the root cause and prevent recurrence as well as relieve the immediate symptoms.

In adding certain foods to the diet, there are others that should be staunchly avoided. Some of these include processed sugar, processed flour, fast food, caffeine, alcohol, cheese, and meat. As much as possible, these foods should be replaced with high fiber foods as described above or completely eliminated from the diet.

Regular exercise is also crucial in maintaining a healthy bowel and treating constipation. Daily exercise that involves at least 30 minutes of movement is helpful in increasing circulation and optimizing intestinal function. Daily walking, jogging, yoga, tai chi and other mild to moderate exercise is recommended.

By treating constipation naturally, a person is able to, not only correct the bad habits that led to the original bout of constipation, but can safely avoid its recurrence. Natural treatments for constipation have been safely and effectively used for generations to treat this common discomfort and are completely without risk or side effects. In making simple diet and lifestyle changes, constipation can be corrected, as a host of other conditions can also be avoided in the process.

What Are Some Of The Natural Treatments for Lupus?

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Lupus is a diseases which causes the body to attack itself. It also fights the tissues and cells inside of your body which can lead to unbearable pain and inflammation in your joints and muscles. The exact cause of lupus varies from person to person. This disease tends to strike without any warning signs. The only way to know for sure you have lupus is to see a doctor and get tested for the disease.

Lupus can be caused by a number of factors and tends to have a sudden onset – if you suspect that you may have the disease, see your physician, since they can make an accurate diagnosis. Like the other autoimmune diseases, lupus is incurable. While it can’t be cured, it can be treated and managed, though it takes a lot of care. One of the distinctive symptoms of the disease is a red rash on the patient’s face, often resembling a wolf. It can also resemble a butterfly shape, which has led to it also being known as “butterfly rash”.

But no matter the rash looks like, it is important to seek treatment as soon as possible. This disease has the ability to slow you down and hinder you from doing the things in life you love to do. When properly treated, life can seem just as normal as it did before you found out you had the disease.

Lupus is far more common in women and most often develops between puberty and the mid thirties. Characteristic symptoms of lupus include weakness and fatigue, photosensitivity, anemia, weight loss, confusion, ulcers in the mouth and throat and kidney problems as well as the facial rash. Common treatments include anti- inflammatory drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen and rash ointments, with corticosteroids sometimes being prescribed for severe symptoms.

The most common treatments for lupus include mild anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin, medicated ointments for the rash and in more severe cases, corticosteroids. Natural treatments for lupus are rapidly gaining ground since they are just as effective as many of the medical treatments available at a much lower cost.

Fish oil is one of these popular natural treatments for lupus due to its content of naturally anti- inflammatory Omega 3 fatty acids. This can significantly reduce the pain and inflammation of lupus. Turmeric, a spice common in Indian cuisine is another of the natural treatments which has become very popular for managing the symptoms of lupus. It’s very cheap and can be bought at any Indian grocery, many larger grocery chains, health food stores and online. Patients typically take between 400-600mg daily to manage their symptoms.

The recommended dose is 400-600mg per day. You can also help to manage lupus naturally with a healthy diet which contains ample protein, fiber and vitamin C as well as daily vitamin supplements. Patients should also listen to their bodies and rest when they’re tired to help them cope better with the disease. If you’re feeling well enough to do so, take part in some gentle exercise; but make sure not to push yourself too far.

When you are able, be sure to obtain a legitimate amount of exercise, but do not worry about pushing yourself over the limit. Avoid foods which seem to cause you difficulties as well. A lot of lupus patients have found they are more sensitive to certain foods than others. By simply paying attention to your body, you should be able to naturally manage your lupus symptoms with ease.

The History Of Freemasonry – Freemason History

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Many groups and organizations exist in all parts of the world. Some are contained within their specific countries while others hold worldwide memberships. The society of the Freemasons comes within this category. They are based on individual groups all with the same cause. There membership is grouped according to Lodges. In some parts of the world, Freemasons are considered a form of cult and are banned in regards to forming a group.

There has been interest in learning about the roots of the Freemasons in respect to just how far back they go. It is believed they were formed in the 1700?s but was their some form of existence even before this?

The Freemasons have chosen two patron saints as part of them symbolism. Being St.John the Evangelist and St.John the Baptist. This was done in 1598. From here speculation was formed that there was Lodge called the Lodge of the Holy Saints John at Jerusalem. The Freemasons refute this while the anti freemasons promote this as being factual. Why should it matter? Perhaps because the Freemasons do not want to present the picture that they are a religious society which could portray them as being a cult. So why choose Saints from the Bible if they are not a religious organization? Again it comes down to the Freemasons seem to base everything around symbolism. The Freemasons answer to this question is they have chosen to symbolize what these two saints stand for which is their virtues, ideas and teachings.

Remaining in the biblical days there have been inferences made that Freemasonry became into being when Noah survived the flood. It would seem that most of the Freemasons of today will trace their ancestry back to the 1700?s of which they will speak rather openly about, beyond that time period there is much less talk and reference made. Yet both for and against the Masons will admit there s some documentation go back far beyond the 1700?s. The oldest known uncontested document is the Regius Poem, which dates back to the 13th century. It is admitted by most that some of the teachings from that document came into inception of the formal formation of the Freemasons in the 1700?s.

The first formal organizing of this now known Society took place in1717 with the formation of the first Grand Lodge of England. It is said that at that time it was merely a group meeting that would hold annual feasts or sometimes quarterly.

From this point in time, the Freemasons as we understand it today started here. They have grown by instituting the teachings from the better religions and philosophies. They teach their lessons through the symbolism of the operative masons. This means that these mason actions are the teaching aid for the modern day Masons.

Although this tells as to what morals the Society relies on it does not tell us what the Freemasons class as the ?better religions? or what philosophy are their corner stones.

Masonry as a trades craft has technically been around since man started to build with stone. Therefore, if you look at it in this way one could speculate that Freemasonry goes back. The question is though did they form an organized group?

5 Questions You Need To Ask About Freemasonry

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

The possibility exists that the Freemasons could be accused of paganism because of their consistent references to the Historical or ancient world. In some ways, this is unfair to them because many of the early teachings of Christianity were based on the concepts of Plato and Aristotle. Both known to be Pagans. There are many other celebrations observed by Christianity that the Freemasons stipulate resort to paganism as well.

In respect to the secrecy of the Masonry, it has been a topic of much debate for years. The masons stipulate their secrecy is only in regards to their rituals. They state that their secrecy has been misconstrued as privacy. It refers to being just like any other organization or club. The argument against this that the majority of other common organizations don?t use a secret knock for entry.

When arguments are raised about blood oaths and rituals regarding penalties for breaking the secrecy the Masons maintain that is allegorical when it comes to being in their rituals. It?s meant to make the onlooker feel guilty if they are guilty of the any allegations.

It?s difficult for an innocent individual who is na?ve as to the arguments of the Freemasons versus the anti Mason to know who to believe. The Freemasons rely heavily on the point that there are having been many reputable government officials and men of importance that were good standing members of the masonry. It is up to the individual to determine just how much credence that holds.

The Masons will discreetly point out how they support a large number of charities. Then the counter argument against this is that organized crime has supported charities as well as so have renowned bike gangs.

One of the most controversial arguments amongst the Freemasons and the anti Mason is what is know as Occam?s razor. This centers around the various teachings supposedly of devil worship amongst the higher degrees of the Mason, most around the 32 and 33rd degrees.

Freemasons stipulate they have far more proof to show they are not Satan worshippers or some sinister cult compared to the proofs of the anti Freemasons. The Freemasons believe the anti masons target non-informed public to present their case to and this is why they are believable. They use a reference or equations as to how lawyers will try to select an uninformed jury. Of course, a uniformed jury is a necessity. They must be unbiased to present a fair trial. Therefore, this equation does not make sense.

The Freemason will make the allegation that the anti Masons use the very same tactics that they accuse the Freemasons of when it comes to presenting proofs and materials. Often doing it in secrecy .

The slinging back and forth between the Freemasons and anti Freemasons has been going on for years. There is certainly nothing in the near future that gives any indication that this matter will become solved and finally put to rest. It is also evident that the Freemasons are a strong organized group that shows no signs of faltering in membership being, as they don?t actively recruit.

The Basics of Blogging

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Web publishing (also called “web logging” – blogging) continues to grow in popularity, especially since the advent of internet marketing. Nowadays, technologically-aware corporate businessmen and even business employees, use blogs to build relationships with their consumers. They share their company’s expertise, culture and any other information, that can help develop the customer’s interest in their products and services.

On the other hand, not only businessmen venture into the world of blogging, everyday computer users do too. Not only can they express their opinions and thoughts to others but they can also earn money in more ways than one. For example: from selling advertising space to offering expert services, which in turn builds their reputation as a professional.

If you are thinking of entering the blogosphere, you must be ready for the problems you might encounter in several areas of blogging like: selecting, installing and configuring your blogging software. However, because the assortment of configurations varies widely, a newbie blogger can still get confused. The tools are not the only obstacles you have to overcome, it is also the terminology used in blogging.

Tools for Blogging: Basically, the software tools for your blog greatly depend on your webspace provider. For example, RSS functionality can be absent from one provider but present in another. Additionally, some blogging software tool providers can cost as little as $4 each month depending on the extent of service you choose, while others can be used for free but perhaps with more limited services.

Choosing the right software tool is a personal choice of course. If you have enough cash to spare for a blog or if you want to really get serious about blogging and hope to earn an income in the future, which is always a distinct possibility, you have the option of paying for blogging software. However, if you are a newbie blogger, it might be advisable to start with one of the free blog software providers.

Fortunately, some webspace providers that charge for their services also offer free trial periods, which range from 10 to 30 days. This is a great opportunity to try the services they offer without paying any money. If you find a provider with which you are comfortable and which offers the services you require, you can always use their free trial periods to the full extent before paying.

Blogging Terminology: a blogging community is a lot like a secret society and like most secret societies, it has its own secret language, which you must learn too. Although, Internet-savvy individuals might already know many of these terms, it might be a little bit more difficult for those with limited or no background in blogging whatsoever.

Firstly, the most important term in blogging is ‘post’. A post occurs every time you place or publish an update to your blog. Secondly, since blogs are a kind of communication, people can also leave comments. If your readers leave a message regarding your published content, this message is referred to as a ‘comment’. Usually, the comments are labeled and time-stamped to permit you and other readers to see who posted the comment and when it was posted.

‘Comment spam’ is the term that refers to when a poster keeps repeating the same comment time after time again or leaves comments that advertise his own services, although they are completely unrelated to the blog’s theme. This can be a worry for the blog owner as his blog is, in effect, being hijacked by the spammer to promote his own blogs, products or Web sites.

These are three of the most important new terms that you will come across in blogging. Exploration and experience can help you understand the other terminology involved in blogging, it’s really not that difficult.

Why Blog?

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Many people are starting to get into blogging for various reasons. You might have only recently heard of it, but it actually started more than ten years ago from its mother, the online diary. Back then, this kind of diary was used by people to record and share events in their personal lives. Although blogging still uses that very same concept, it now includes several other categories.

Nowadays, blogging is synonymous with online marketing. Bloggers not only publish content reflecting their mood of the moment or share what they have done for the past few days, they also advertise and create a strong rapport with their audience. Through the use of blogging, people are now able to find an alternative way of making money, because blogging is an excellent way of generating income.

The Blog: Before you even start to think about creating your own blog, you should know what blogging actually means. The term blog is derived from the word Weblog or Web log. Back in the 1990’s, these Web logs were used by developers to track updates and references to other resources online. They served as a sort of journal. This made them also useful as a publishing tool for the user’s stream of consciousness. After all, readers could also comment on just abut anything they felt like.

Technically, blogs are also known as CMS’s or Content Management Systems. Being a CMS, blogs allow the writers to easily publish to a specific website and manage the content without the need of having to deal with the program code. Publishing software also provides users with a GUI or Graphical User Interface for easy ‘point and click’ editing of content. By this device, you can perform configuration and set up routines, which can ease your job as a blogger since the tool can automatically configure your articles the next time you publish.

The Reasons for Blogging: The real question is, why should I start blogging? The first thing you ought to realize is that blogging can enhance your online communication. However, you must first know what the object of your blog is in order to achieve the results you require. The main reason that you ought to start blogging, is that it can be both a great outlet for your frustrations or excitement and an earner at one and the same time.

Whether or not you are a fan of blogging, you ought to be thinking about blogging. If you are in business, especially one that has sales on the Internet, you have to create a clientele that are actually interested in your products. Blogging can do this very easily because of their international accessibility and ability to be a great medium for marketing. These days, blogs are an essential marketing tool for businesses.

Furthermore, if you are running a business, there is a pretty good chance that your competition is blogging about their products and services. This is an easy way for you to examine the competition and what their clients’ preferences are. Additionally, blogs can create strong customer relationships since your target market can easily and directly communicate with the authority within your chosen field.
