Newbies Have Their Pulse on the Marketplace

You’re not old, yet the mass media continues to ignore your needs or categorize you  as  elderly.  There is  even  a  search  engine  built  just  for  Baby  Boomers  at www.Cranky.com because they assumed boomers wouldn’t want to read a lot with their tired eyes’ and they labeled boomers as cranky or cantankerous.

You’re none of the above, are you?   You’re in between the young hip crowd and the geezers’ and you have a distinct advantage over other business owners because you can sit on the fence and see both sides of the marketplace from an omniscient point of view.

Your cultural patterns are different from those born before you, and while you may not relate to generation X very much, you can at least understand the concept of making changes and paving your own path.

Your own hip beginnings allowed you to understand the beauty of rock and roll, the pride in arguing with status quo, and the power you have to change the world.   This kind of diverse thinking will let you develop a unique approach to capturing the attention of a market and selling what they need to them.

As boomers, you’re leaders, not followers, and so you’ll set the tone for what consumers are seeking and you’ll know in advance how the market plans to shift so that you can capitalize on those requests.
