Little Google Secrets or where to start optimizing your site

For many young websites it is enough to add the site via a special form (add url) or create a sitemap (sitemap.xml). Undoubtedly both of these methods are effective, but only as a subsidiary. The main way to tell GoogleBot on the emergence of something new in the network is to have External links to resources. Method that works quickly enough is to add page URL to social bookmarks, adding press releases, links to Trust resources (resources with a high level of confidence) sites – for instance news websites.

Another important factor is the number of technical issues that relate to accessibility. Very often, long a problem with hosting or a domain that you forgot to renew, can play you bad joke. This is especially true for Google.

Now a few words about what is important for Google to see on the page. And while the formula for ranking the more than 100 different criteria is called the 5 basic.

1. Keywords that are used in the header between the tags <title>.

2. Keywords that are used in the sub between the tags <h1>, <h2>, … and the first paragraph of the text on the page.

3. Keywords that are used to link (Anchor), as well as on your other sites.

4. PR (Page Rank) of your site. This figure shows the number and quality of external links to your site.

5. Number of pages with at least 250 words of relevant content. (and the more of these pages, the better).

Attention should be made also to meta-tag <description>, its contents can be included in the description of your site. Meta-tag <keywords> is ignored by Google. The content of alt tags is involved in the search for images.
